Do you hate those Automated Telemarketing calls that come right about supper time?

You know, the type of calls where there’s always a silent pause on the other end of the phone while you’re saying “hello?” to what you think is dead air?

Well, guess what? It works, and it works well, because automated telemarketing costs a lot less to use than hiring human beings to make the calls.

These automated telmarketing calls have a silence on the other end is for 2 reasons

  1. They’re logging the date and times when people DO answer the phone
  2. The pause is there to weed out any answering machine messages so it doesn’t leave messages to machines.

Another term for automated telemarketing is auto phone dialer or autodialer. So where do you get the phone numbers to call when using automated telemarketing?

Well, that’s where your automated lead generation kicks in, that part of your automated marketing system harvests those leads from somewhere (perhaps leads brokers) and then once you are in possession of these leads you can plug their numbers into your auto-dialer, or call them yourself…

Another method of automated telemarketing is when run an offline advertising campaign directing people to call a phone number.

When people responding to the advertisement call the phone number, they’re usually given some information and instructions on what to do, what actions to take etc…

This form of automated telemarketing works differently and converts better since it is Stage 2 of the lead generation and qualification process.
